Conwy coach firm is "best in UK"
A Conwy coach firm has beaten competition from across Britain to be judged the best in its field by holiday market leaders HF Holidays, the largest walking and special interest holiday company in the world, who run 18 country house hotels up and down the country from their London and Penrith offices.
Abacab Coaches, based at Conwy Morfa Business Park, earned the accolade on the basis of feedback from holiday leaders and guests themselves at the HF House, Bryn Corach. The company is contracted to transport walkers each day from the hotel to the start of their walk, and to collect and return them at the other end of the day.
Drivers Mike Pritchard, Dafydd Pritchard and Sean Hayes were commended for their driving skills and on the basis of outstanding performance across a range of things such as punctuality, local knowledge and helpfulness to guests.
Annie Coutts, Transport Co-ordinator for HF Holidays, wrote in confirming the award: "Among the other factors influencing our decision were the high quality of the vehicles supplied, and the friendly co-operation we always encounter when plans have to be changed, sometimes at the last moment. Nothing ever seems too much trouble for Abacab, and this is our way of saying thank you."
Chris Jones, accepting a certificate and free holiday vouchers on behalf of Abacab, was delighted by the news. "Winning this award for the first time suggests our standards are improving all the time. Its rewarding for all our hard work to be recognised in this way by professionals and the public alike."
